What is a Family System?
Although you are an individual, you are also part of family systems. Families in this life, such as the family you were born into and any in-laws. But also families from other lives.
How Does a Family System Affect You?
Everything is made up of systems. Yourself included. Think about your immune system, your energy system or your main chakras that form your operating system. Every system you are a part of, participate in, or have a connection with affects you. Such as the family system.
You have an energy field; so do others within the system. These energy fields resonate with each other and together form a new energy field and therefore a collective consciousness. Within the collective consciousness there are beliefs, for example about how you should behave within the family.
Based on this, you fulfill roles, such as that of older sister or smaller brother. Attached to each role are expectations and beliefs that you must fulfill. For example, as a bigger sister, you are supposed to be caring for your little brother.
In addition to the collective consciousness within the family system, the system itself also has a consciousness: the family unit body. Its energy comes from the origin of the system and the ideals and beliefs behind it. Within a family this goes back generations and thus hundreds of years. The consciousness of the family unit body is guiding and fed by the collective consciousness.
Because of this, it can sometimes be very difficult to change as a family. Because it is so embedded in the family system. Yet this is possible. Through a healing you can update the family unit body and collective consciousness to who you are now and the life lessons you have in this life.
What Influence Do You Have on Your Family System?
In addition, systems have a center of gravity. In "small systems" such as the family system, each family member has considerable influence over the system and which way it moves.
When the common goal is clear and each family member contributes to it, the system moves in that direction in a balanced way. When there are conflicting interests or the common goal is not clear and each family member moves in a different direction, the center of gravity is also tossed back and forth, and the family as a whole does not move forward.
To illustrate: suppose the father within the family wants to make a career, devotes all his time and attention to his work, and puts his family in second place. When the other family members accept this situation, conform to it, and (unconsciously) cooperate with the father's career, the system as a whole moves toward that goal. But, suppose the mother of the family also wants a career herself and the children in the family want attention, then everyone in the family moves in a different direction. And the center of gravity does not move, or at least less quickly, toward the father's goal. Which results in a situation where the father also cannot make the steps in his work that he envisions for himself.
So there is constantly a trade-off between the place you are given within the family and the space you take for yourself.
You as an Individual More Powerful within the System
By detaching yourself from the projections arising from family roles, more space is created for you as an individual. As a result, you as a person become more powerful within the family as a whole and have more 'bargaining room' in the continuous interaction.
Through a healing you can dissolve obstructive family patterns that you do not need in order to learn your life lessons. This is covered during the healing program Family. This program consists of 4 healings: Dissolving Family Karma, You within Your Family System, Energy in the Family Line (7 Generations), and a Individual Live Session Specifically Focused on Your Family.
