Pluto Stays in Aquarius for 9 Months
This year Pluto stays in Aquarius from Jan. 20 to early September, then goes back into Capricorn until mid-November, after which it enters Aquarius again, for a period of 20 years. Given the long period that Pluto stays in a sign (12 to 31 years), we also speak of a generational planet.Â
Pluto is known as the planet of transformation, destruction, and rebirth. Pluto brings your inner and outer worlds together, makes them one. Aquarius represents autonomy, independence, equality and freedom. In other words, community and power to the people. It is also associated with science, technology and innovation.Â
Pluto brings to light the shadow sides of the symbolism of the sign it is in. Globally, this often involves corruption. A full Moon is a peak full of power and energy, it shines a light on the sign it is in, Leo that is. The sign Leo represents self-awareness, expression of uniqueness, and balance between head and heart. Therefore, the full Moon raises the question: to what extent are you the leader of your own life? Especially since it takes place during this turbulent energetic week and is thus amplified.Â
Uranus Goes Stationary Direct, Accelerating Energy
Uranus is the ruler of Aquarius. Precisely this planet goes stationary direct, reinforcing Pluto's shift. Uranus is associated with sudden, unpredictable events; a lightning-fast influence. In addition, this planet represents increasing personal awareness, the urge to be unique and to surprise or shock.Â
As soon as Uranus changes direction, all planets with a longer orbital period move forward. This does not happen very often. It is an acceleration of energy, in this case an acceleration of an energy different from before.Â
