Who Am I Truly?
Who am I in essence? Without all the roles I fulfill, without conforming to what is expected of me? Who am I, why am I here on Earth and what talents have I been given for this?Â
What Roles Am I Fulfilling and Do They Really Suit Me?
Every day we fulfill countless roles. The mother of..., the partner of..., the employee at..., etc. These roles, parts of systems, are accompanied by behaviors. At work something else is expected of you than at home with the children. Logical and nothing wrong with that.Â
It becomes a different story when something is expected of you because you have to fulfill that role, while it doesn't fit who you really are and how you perceive life. Or if you hide under the '"safe layer" of the role. In that case you deceive others with a paragon of yourself, so that you do not have to show yourself.Â
You can create a lot of different roles and paragons for yourself; or alter egos. Realize that just like an actor, you can create personalities and they activate when you adopt a certain attitude.Â
Do I Pretend to Be Different From Who I Am?
The moment it feels more comfortable to pretend to be different than you are, you are no longer living your own life. Especially when you also begin to identify yourself with the roles you play. When you regularly do things out of a sense of duty or to be liked, you get further and further away from who you really are and what your soul mission is.Â
This has to do, among other things, with the "Forces of Oppression" and metaphysical law "Law of least resistance." The more you do at your own expense, the less you will be able to stand up for yourself in the next situation. The energy of the "Forces of Oppression" becomes stronger and stronger, causing you to lose more and more of your own power and to become more and more distant from yourself and from what you want.
Self-Love
Self-love is a combination of self-acceptance, self-confidence, and self-esteem. It is the basis of how you experience life. When you love and appreciate yourself for who you are, you have much less tendency to seek this recognition outside of yourself. And you don't have to do all kinds of things to be liked and seen or heard. Read more about Self-Love
Who Am I, What Do I Want, and What Do I Need to Achieve This?
In order to purposefully direct your own life, it is important to know who you are, what you want, and what you need to achieve it. This is the basis of everything. Just as the mission and vision is the basis for organizations and businesses. When employees do not know why they do the things they do, how they contribute to the bigger picture and what they are working toward, the company is directionless. The same goes for you as a person.Â
If you do not know who you are in essence and why you are here on Earth, then you do not know why you are doing what you are doing, whether what you are doing is contributing to it and whether you are working toward achieving your life lessons and life goals. And therefore whether you are achieving successes and being successful or not.Â
When you are not aware of this, it goes in all directions. And often not in the direction that makes you happy. If you are aware of who you are in essence and what your meaning is, then you can consciously direct it and benefit from all the resources the universe has to offer.
