Maternal Love | From an Energetic Perspective
Maternal love, in pure form is an energy transfer that provides a healthy creation power. Your creation power comes from your feminine energy and its quality. This is largely fueled by mother's love.
Feminine Energy in the Family Line
For many people, the relationship with the mother or the female line is “disturbed." For example, because:
- the woman is inferior to the man
- the mother actually acts very hard and businesslike and does not take on a nurturing role
- the mother is physically or emotionally absent
Trauma on Maternal Love Right After Birth
Regardless of the relationship you have with your mother and the feminine energy line of the family, in modern society trauma takes place on maternal love and feminine energy immediately after your birth. The umbilical cord that connects you as a baby to your mother's placenta is cut immediately after birth. Energetically, this is a brutal procedure and traumatic experience for the baby. Naturally, it takes 3-5 days for the umbilical cord to release on its own.
Maternal Love Affects Relationship With Self
When motherly love is absent, limited or "contaminated," there is often a lack of security, affection and safety. This may express in you pretending to be stronger than you are, not showing your vulnerability, or being 'cold' in relationships because you don't know how to show empathy and love, or because you are afraid of getting hurt.Â
In short, it has a crucial influence on the relationship with yourself (your self-image, self-acceptance, and self-love) and therefore the relationships the you have with others. Read more about self-love
