New Moon in Cancer | June 25, 2025
On June 25, 2025, it will be the New Moon in Cancer. The Sun and Moon are conjunct Jupiter, and all three form a square with Saturn and Neptune, and a sextile with Mars. See what this means for you in terms of energy.
New Moon Conjunct Jupiter
A New Moon represents a new beginning. The start of a new cycle. The sign Cancer is about emotional security, your home, and care. For yourself and your environment. Cancer is known for its nurturing and protective energy. The Moon rules Cancer and provides emotional intelligence, intense feelings, and the movement of the tides.
The Sun, Moon, and Jupiter are aligned during this new moon. In our book Your Being we described Jupiter as the planet of creativity. Jupiter enables you to gain insight into the intelligence that Mother Earth possesses. In astrology, Jupiter is seen as the planet of expansion, (self-)development, and consciousness.
Jupiter in Cancer strengthens our desire for security, connection, and belonging. Cancer is protective, intuitive, and loyal. Cancer energy has a tendency to prioritize caring for others over caring for yourself.
Proactive and Dedicated
The Sun, Moon, and Jupiter form a sextile with Mars in Virgo. This is a harmonious aspect in which the energies support each other. Mars in Virgo is proactive and disciplined, with high standards and an eye for detail, especially when it comes to work, routines, and health.
So, it may well be that you are loyal and disciplined in performing a precise work. Or that you are able to organize your emotions and thoughts better so that you can work on it. Or that you use the energy to work on your own health and well-being in a disciplined manner.
Tension Between Loyalty and Individuality
The Sun, Moon, and Jupiter also form a square with Saturn and Neptune in Aries. Where Cancer is sensitive, secure, and loyal, Aries represents the “I am.” Neptune can help you discover that you are a multidimensional energy being and Saturn in Aries can help you recognize your own boundaries within the bigger picture and clearly communicate them. In other words: being there for others without compromising yourself.
Desire for Freedom and Autonomy
Furthermore, the Sun, Moon, and Jupiter form a quincunx with Pluto in Aquarius. Pluto is known as the planet of transformation, destruction, and rebirth. It brings to light the shadow sides of the symbolism of the sign it is in. Aquarius is about freedom, autonomy, and power to the people. While Jupiter in Cancer can increase loyalty, the quincunx fuels the desire for freedom and autonomy. This may affect your sense of security, which is further reinforced by Uranus.
Shake Up
Uranus is on the anaretic degree of Taurus, also known as the critical degree. When a generational planet is in the last degree of a sign, its energy intensifies. The planet completes what it started before moving on to a new sign to do its work there. Uranus causes upheaval through shock movements with the aim of sparking revolution and innovation. Taurus is about security, stability, and comfort, particularly in terms of material possessions.
The conjunction of Jupiter and Uranus in Taurus can shake the ground beneath our feet. Or sink, depending on where you stand and how you use the energy. The energy always has a higher frequency and a lower frequency in it. It is up to you from which frequency you "live through" it. This has to do with your willingness to change.
Thuiskomen bij jezelf
All in all, this New Moon is a good time to (learn to) be at home with yourself, take care of yourself, and protect yourself if necessary. It is therefore an excellent time to set an essential intention for this.
Do you want to know how to create an essential intention and activate it through an energetic campaign? It is described in detail in the book Your Beliefs.
