Lunar Eclipse and Full Moon in Virgo | March 3, 2026
This lunar eclipse is a dismantling. It exposes where you have overburdened yourself. Do you feel tired of organizing, solving, and trying to fix everything? The lunar eclipse on March 3 hits that point exactly. This is the last eclipse on the Virgo–Pisces axis, and it asks you to exchange control for trust.
Full Moon in Virgo
On March 3, there will be a Full Moon at 12 degrees of Virgo with a total lunar eclipse. The Moon is in Virgo, conjunct the South Node. The Sun is directly opposite in Pisces, conjunct the North Node. A lunar eclipse on the South Node means: this has run its course, we are leaving this behind us as a collective.
Virgo is about control, analysis, improvement, fixing, optimization. About being responsible. About wanting to do everything right. The Full Moon with Lunar Eclipse shows a shift from control to trust. From perfectionism to compassion. And from rational thinking to feeling.
Control Versus Surrender
Eclipses have an intense energy. They are turning points and cause you to make leaps. This is the last eclipse on the Pisces-Virgo axis before the lunar nodes shift to Aquarius-Leo in June. This eclipse is therefore the last intensification on this axis. It is the last major moment of correction or tipping point, but the energy remains present for integration and processing, which continues until the next eclipse on August 12 in Leo.
Since this is the last eclipse on this axis, you can already look back on what has happened in your life since September 2024, when the first lunar eclipse on this axis took place in Pisces. So what shifts have you experienced in finding a new balance between a practical, structured, and detailed approach and going with the flow of life? Between being busy with daily concerns and making room for dreams and ideals. Between wanting to fix things and maintain control, and surrender?
And what else do you need to let go of in this area? This Full Moon is the perfect moment to do so.

Lots of Pisces Energy
During this Full Moon with lunar eclipse, there is a lot of Pisces energy. The Sun, Mars, Mercury, and Venus are in Pisces, along with the North Lunar Node.
Mars is at 0 degrees Pisces. This signifies a shift from mental, ideological action (Aquarius) to emotional, intuitive action (Pisces). In Pisces, Mars is less direct, less confrontational, and more subtle in its movement.
Mercurius Retrograde
Mercury goes retrograde in Pisces since February 26. Mercury is about mental development, mindset, and communication. What you think and talk about. And how you process information. When Mercury goes retrograde this is linked to disruptions in communication, travel, and technology, which can lead to confusion, delays, and misunderstandings.
This is reinforced in Pisces. So you may think you see something clearly (the illusion of Pisces) when you are actually still in the middle of the process. The underlying goal of Mercury retrograde is to go deeper and retrieve hidden messages from your subconscious or higher consciousness so that you can gain new insights and knowledge.
A Different Perspective on Relationships
Venus is also in Pisces and forms a sextile with Uranus in Taurus. This can provide sudden insight into a relationship, lead to a liberating financial decision, or change your perspective on your self-worth and body, for example, by making you less critical and harsh on yourself.
In Pisces, many things become more fluid and boundaries blur, so it is also important to keep your boundaries clear in your mind and to consciously guard them in the coming period.
Jupiter is in Cancer and forms harmonious aspects with the Sun and Moon. This provides emotional support. For example, family or friends offering support or a sudden sense of inner peace.
Full Moon with Eclipse Phase of Dismantling
The conjunction between Neptune and Saturn of February 20 fell during eclipse season. It is a complete reset and the start of a new era, in which boundaries, beliefs, and reality are redefined. It is about truth and maturity. What is not real or achievable disappears. And what is inspired takes shape in physical reality. Watch the video
This eclipse is part of the “dismantling.” It may temporarily cloud your vision due to the amount of Pisces energy present and Mercury's retrograde. This can cause you to be less mentally sharp than usual, for example, or make you feel a greater need to escape reality or idealize things.
Letting Go Without Clarity
But the essence of what matters is that this full moon with lunar eclipse in Virgo takes away control and encourages you to live in surrender, without the new form being visible yet. So, you let go, but you only understand later what you have actually let go of. Clarity comes as soon as Mercury goes direct again and the Pisces energy has run its course, and Aries energy actually begins to build and manifest itself.
All in all, this Full Moon can be an emotional release, a conclusion, or a breaking point or breakthrough in a pattern. It is a peak moment and intensification that can cause confusion. Especially since it follows a period of tremendous energetic shifts. Therefore, make sure you stay well grounded and look at situations from your focal point. How to do that is explained in the energetic exercises,.
