Chiron in Taurus | 2026–2033
Many people have spent their entire lives building a sense of security: a home, a job, a pension, savings, and stability. But what happens when those very sources of security become less certain? Cheiron in Taurus lays bare precisely that layer. It confronts us with the uncomfortable question: when your sense of security disappears, where do you find safety?
From Ram to Stier: From a Right to Exist to a Secure Existence
Starting June 19, 2026, Chiron will move into Taurus. With this shift, the collective wound to which people will become more sensitive in the coming years will also shift. Whereas Chiron in Aries focused on identity, autonomy, and having the courage to be yourself, the focus now shifts to something more fundamental: safety.
Am I safe? Not just financially. But also physically, emotionally, and practically. Can I truly relax? Can I receive without guilt or shame? Can I trust that there is enough? Or am I constantly trying to enforce safety through control, possessions, achievements, or hard work? These are precisely the themes that Chiron in Taurus may bring to the surface in the coming years.
Chiron in Taurus
On June 19, 2026, Chiron will temporarily enter Taurus. This will be our first encounter with this energy. On September 17, 2026, Chiron will temporarily return to Aries, after which it will re-enter Taurus on April 14, 2027. It will then remain there until July 2033, with one final passage lasting until May 2034.
Astrologically, this shifts the focus of the wound: from a sense of purpose to a sense of security. Aries asks questions such as: Do I have a right to be here? Can I be myself? Can I take my place? Do I dare to choose myself?
Taurus asks different questions:
- May I receive?
- Am I really safe?
- Am I enough without having to prove myself?
- What truly gives me a sense of security?
- What is something really worth?
That makes this transit palpable in everyday life. Because these themes run through everything. Work. Money. Health. Housing. Nutrition. Rest. The body. Everything that has to do with the foundation of your life.
The Wound of Taurus
Taurus is often associated with money, possessions, and material security. But beneath that outer layer, it’s really about something much more fundamental. Taurus is about security. About being able to find your center. About trusting that there is enough. About peace of mind. About not having to constantly fight to survive.
When Chiron moves through Taurus, those very areas become more sensitive. That doesn’t mean everyone will face financial problems. But it does mean that the relationship with security will become apparent. For some, it’s about money. For others, it’s about health. And for still others, it’s about control, possessions, work, or the need to hold on to everything.
When your sense of security depends on something outside yourself, this transition can start to feel uncomfortable.
How This Can Be Felt on a Personal Level
Not in a single major event, but in recurring patterns. You might be asking yourself:
- Why financial uncertainty causes so much stress.
- Why it feels hard to take a break.
- Why receiving can be uncomfortable.
- Why you keep working even when your body is telling you it’s had enough.
- Why you value control so much.
- Why you always feel like something else has to happen first before you can relax.
Chiron doesn't just expose the wound. He also shows you how to deal with it. And that's usually where the real lesson lies.
The areas of your life where this manifests and how it manifests for you depend on the house Chiron transits in your personal birth chart and the aspects it forms with your natal planets.
The body as a reflection of safety
Taurus is associated with the body. As a result, the coming years may bring up questions related to stress and relaxation, sleep, nutrition, recovery, exhaustion, the nervous system, and other physical signals.
Many people will find that their bodies react to uncertainty more quickly than they realized. Stress becomes tangible. Anxiety becomes palpable. Fatigue reveals where one’s limits lie. The body thus becomes a mirror of the extent to which safety is truly felt—both mentally and physically.
Your sense of security stems largely from your first chakra, the center of security and comfort. In the book Je kracht (only available in Dutch) includes a healing exercise designed to help you feel safe and supported in a state of trust.
What Happened During the Previous Chiron-in-Taurus Period?
The last time Chiron transited Taurus was from 1976 to 1984. Interestingly, it was precisely during that period that issues such as purchasing power, wages, inflation, energy, and economic security were at the forefront.
In the Netherlands, this ultimately led to the Wassenaar Agreement in 1982. Employers and employees reached agreements on wage restraint, reduced working hours, and economic stabilization. It is no coincidence that many social debates at the time revolved around the same core issues that Stier addresses:
- What is labor worth?
- What is money worth?
- What remains?
- How much security can a system still provide?
Globally, too, the economy, energy supply, and financial stability were under pressure. The oil crisis of 1979, high inflation, the crash of the silver market in 1980, and the global debt crisis of 1982–1983 made it clear how vulnerable societies are when their material foundations shift. This corresponds exactly with the astrological interpretation of Chiron in Taurus.
Looking Ahead
Even now, we are facing an energy crisis, a housing crisis, sky-high debt, concerns about livelihood security, and questions about how sustainable the system still is.
In addition, there are discussions about the introduction of the CBDC (Central Bank Digital Currency) as part of Agenda 2030 and in conjunction with the phrase 'You’ll own nothing and be happy' from an essay published by the WEF. All of this is scheduled to be implemented during this period of Chiron in Taurus. Coincidence?
How this actually manifests itself depends on how we deal with it as a collective. Energy always has a higher and a lower frequency through which you can experience it—both collectively and individually. In any case, it is clear where the focus will lie in the coming years.
Essence of Chiron in Taurus
The wound surrounding safety, worth, and acceptance becomes visible, allowing a more honest relationship to develop with what truly sustains us.
That can be uncomfortable. Precisely because the things people often cling to most, such as money, possessions, control, security, and comfort, may turn out to be less certain than we thought.
But that is precisely where the opportunity for growth lies:
- Not just discovering what you have. But discovering what you can truly rely on.
- Not just what something costs. But what something is truly worth.
- Not just what you own. But what you embody.
And perhaps the most important question of this transit: When everything around you is changing, where can you still find a sense of safety and security?
This ties in seamlessly with the transition to air energy, which makes everything faster and more fleeting, and changes everything you once relied on. Whereas you used to be able to seek security outside yourself, such as a job you held for 40 years, a pension, insurance, etc. You must now return to finding security within yourself. So that you can face life with confidence.
You can do this, among other things, by resolving your karma and learning your life lessons. The books Your Burden and Your Strength contain healing exercises to help you get started. In addition, you can use healings to optimize your energy system, so that you can more easily align with the higher energy.
